Just got off the phone with AEP Ohio. They quietly moved the GS-2 to GS-3 threshold from 10 kW to 15 kW effective January billing cycle. I have three clients in Columbus who were right on the edge at 11-12 kW demand and now they qualify for the lower rate. Checking all my AEP accounts this week.

Good catch Mitchell. I saw something about this in the latest tariff filing but hadn't dug into the details yet. Do you know if it applies to the AEP Appalachian Power territory too or just Ohio Power?
This is exactly why we tell everyone to monitor tariff filings quarterly. Nice find. I'd recommend everyone with AEP clients pull the latest rate schedules from the PUC website and compare to what's on the bills.
