How do you disconnect from work? I find myself checking utility bills in my head everywhere I go. Drove past a factory last week and caught myself trying to estimate their demand from the number of rooftop units visible. My wife says I need a hobby that doesn't involve kilowatt-hours.

Work-life balance — how do you disconnect?
Ha — I do the same thing. I look at commercial buildings and mentally calculate their utility spend. My wife banned me from talking about rate schedules at dinner parties. I took up woodworking. Hard to think about demand charges when you're operating a table saw.
Golf. Zero overlap with utility auditing. Unless you're auditing the golf course's bills, which I have done twice now. So maybe not zero overlap.
Fishing. No cell service, no electricity, no rate schedules. Just me and the water. Highly recommend.
Fishing sounds perfect. Zero kilowatt-hours involved. Unless I start auditing the bait shop's bill on the way home.
This thread made me laugh. The occupational hazard of our profession is that you can never look at a commercial building the same way again. Embrace it but also find your off switch. Mine is cooking — hard to think about tariffs when you're trying not to burn dinner.
