First time posting - thanks for accepting me to the group. I'm working on a natural gas audit for a textile facility in North Carolina served by Piedmont Natural Gas. Their winter bills are running $8,000-$12,000 monthly on Rate Schedule LFI. I noticed they're being charged a facilities charge that seems high compared to similar customers. Anyone familiar with Piedmont's rate structures?
Natural Gas Audit - Piedmont Natural Gas
Welcome to AAUBA! Piedmont has several different facilities charges depending on meter size and pressure level. Make sure you're comparing apples to apples - high pressure service has different rates than standard service. Also check if there were any rate changes in the past year. Textile facilities sometimes have seasonal rate options that might be more favorable. What's their typical summer usage compared to winter?
