I have a client on Duke Energy Carolinas Schedule LGS and I'm struggling to understand their time-of-use periods. The tariff shows different seasonal periods and the billing seems inconsistent. Summer months show peak hours 1-7 PM weekdays, but the bills don't seem to match. Has anyone worked with this rate schedule recently? The monthly charges are around $18,000 and I suspect they might be better off on a different rate.

Complex Rate Structure Question - Duke Energy Carolinas
Duke Energy Carolinas updated their LGS schedule last year. The key change was moving the summer peak period from 2-7 PM to 1-7 PM. Also watch for their seasonal definitions - summer is June through September. If your client has flexible operations, you might want to run numbers on Schedule SGS or even their new Optional Time-of-Use rate. What's their typical monthly kWh usage?
