Wanted to share a lesson learned from a recent Pacific Gas & Electric audit. The utility''s position is that the meter was configured correctly, but the tariff language doesn''t support that. The demand ratchet is being applied at 80% instead of the tariff''s 80%.

Had the exact same problem with Memphis Light Gas & Water last year. Took about 24 months to resolve but got full refund.
