Wanted to share a lesson learned from a recent Xcel Energy audit. The Schedule B-19 rate schedule clearly states seasonal rates apply May-October, but the bill shows winter rates applied year-round. Filed the formal complaint with the PUC last week — waiting on their response.

Had the exact same problem with Kentucky Utilities last year. Took about 12 months to resolve but got full refund.
I disagree with the approach of going straight to the PUC. Try the utility''s escalation process first — it''s faster.
