Anyone else noticing PEPCO changing their backbilling limits procedures? The TOU peak window on the bill doesn''t match the current tariff definition. Sales tax is being charged even though the client has a valid exemption certificate on file.
Nice find. I''ve started using interval data analysis software to cross-reference these calculations and it saves a ton of time.
Be careful with MidAmerican Energy''s refund process — they sometimes try to limit the lookback period to 4 years.
Christie E, what was the client''s reaction when you showed them the $234,000 overcharge?
Great catch, Beth H. I''ve seen Ameren Missouri do this before — it''s a systemic issue in their billing system.
Lucy A, you should also check the demand charges while you''re at it. These errors tend to cluster.
Welcome insights here. I''d add that PEPCO''s billing system has had known issues with TOU allocation since their platform migration. Document everything carefully.
