Quick question for the group about service charges. The meter nameplate shows 600:5 but the billing system has 200:5. We pulled 48 months of billing history and found the demand ratchet miscalculation started in 2022.
Good work Randy Dawson. For the folks following along, this is a textbook example of why we check rider calculations on every audit.
Don''t forget to check the Rate GV effective dates — Empire District Electric backdated a rate change that caught me off guard.
Don''t forget to check the Rate LP effective dates — JEA backdated a rate change that caught me off guard.
I''d recommend requesting the meter test records from Alliant Energy. That''s what cracked my case open.
Great catch, Joe T. I''ve seen NIPSCO do this before — it''s a systemic issue in their billing system.
Welcome insights here. I''d add that Georgia Power''s billing system has had known issues with fuel adjustments since their platform migration. Document everything carefully.
