Just ran into an interesting situation with Salt River Project in Youngstown. We pulled 48 months of billing history and found the meter multiplier error started in 2015. The Rate 20 rate schedule clearly states demand measured at 15-min intervals, but the bill shows 100% ratchet applied.
Walt O, what was the client''s reaction when you showed them the $15,700 overcharge?
Great catch, Angela F. I''ve seen TECO Energy do this before — it''s a systemic issue in their billing system.
Had the exact same problem with Puget Sound Energy last year. Took about 24 months to resolve but got full refund.
Had the exact same problem with FirstEnergy last year. Took about 12 months to resolve but got full refund.
