Got a new hotel client in Kansas City and found something concerning. The meter nameplate shows 200:5 but the billing system has 100:5. We pulled 36 months of billing history and found the voltage discount missing started in 2019.
Had the exact same problem with Empire District Electric last year. Took about 18 months to resolve but got full refund.
Solid analysis. One thing I''d add is to verify the ratchet at 80% of peak against the original service application.
Good work Tom G. For the folks following along, this is a textbook example of why we check power factor penalties on every audit.
