Reading Oncor tariff book — section 8.3

Quick question for the group about power factor penalties. The demand ratchet is being applied at 80% instead of the tariff''s 75%. Three of the 18 months show estimated reads with no true-up.
Good work Randy Dawson. For the folks following along, this is a textbook example of why we check rate schedule on every audit.
Great catch, Joanne D. I''ve seen Southern California Edison do this before — it''s a systemic issue in their billing system.
I''d recommend requesting the meter test records from TECO Energy. That''s what cracked my case open.
I disagree with the approach of going straight to the PUC. Try the utility''s escalation process first — it''s faster.
Good thread. I want to emphasize what Brian P said about rate schedule. This comes up frequently and the correct approach is to always verify against the published tariff, never assume the bill is right.
