Fellow auditors, registration is now open for our Virtual Spring Conference on March 15-16, 2022. After the success of our 2021 virtual format, we're continuing online with an enhanced platform and interactive breakout sessions. Early bird pricing is $195 through February 28th. We've got incredible speakers lined up including regulatory experts from FERC, state commissioners, and utility executives. This year's focus is on post-pandemic billing practices and emerging rate structures.
Randy, just registered! The speaker lineup looks fantastic. Particularly excited about the session on time-of-use rates for small commercial customers. We've been seeing Green Mountain Power roll these out aggressively in Vermont and finding lots of billing inconsistencies. Will the sessions be recorded for later viewing? Some of my team couldn't make the live times.
This is perfect timing! Just started my audit practice last year and really need the continuing education credits. The pricing is very reasonable compared to other industry conferences. Is there still a newcomer orientation session like last year? That was incredibly helpful for understanding different utility structures across regions.
Randy, great job on the conference planning as always. Question about the networking platform - will we have the same breakout rooms by region? The Ohio Valley session last year led to some great collaborations. We identified $2.3M in FirstEnergy billing errors across multiple clients by sharing audit techniques.
Registered from Alaska! Looking forward to the session on rural utility auditing challenges. Chugach Electric has been implementing some unusual demand charge structures that don't match their published tariffs. The virtual format works great for those of us in remote locations - much better than trying to get to Memphis or Dallas in person.
Just signed up! The agenda looks comprehensive. Especially interested in the utility cybersecurity panel - PNM has been implementing new smart meter security protocols that are affecting data access for audits. Also hoping to connect with other southwestern auditors during the regional networking hour.
Thanks for all the registrations! To answer questions: Yes, sessions will be recorded and available for 30 days after the conference. Dana, we're doing a newcomer welcome session on March 14th at 7 PM ET. Bob, regional breakout rooms are definitely happening - we've learned they're one of the most valuable parts. Platform link will be emailed 48 hours before the event.
Just registered! Really looking forward to the Duke Energy case study session. We've been dealing with some complex issues on their Schedule LGS tariff here in Cincinnati. The virtual format has been great for participation - last year we had record attendance. Will there be a post-conference resource sharing portal like before?
Excellent conference agenda! The regulatory update session should be particularly valuable given all the changes at the state level. Here in Pennsylvania, we've seen PPL and PECO implement new billing systems with different error patterns than before. The peer learning aspect of these conferences is invaluable.
Randy, fantastic lineup as usual. The session on industrial customer auditing should be great - we've been working with several large manufacturers here in Huntsville who are seeing unexpected demand charges on their TVA bills. Will the conference materials be available in the member portal afterward?
Just wanted to thank everyone for making this such a successful event! The attendance exceeded expectations and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The recorded sessions are now available in the member portal. Already looking forward to planning our fall regional meetups based on the connections made during the conference.
