Hey everyone! We're organizing our first Southeast regional meetup in Atlanta on March 15th at the Marriott Downtown. Already have 12 RSVPs from Georgia Power territory auditors. Planning to cover demand response billing issues and the new Schedule GSA modifications. Coffee and lunch provided - just bring your war stories and calculators! Contact me directly if you're interested. Looking forward to putting faces with forum names!
This sounds great Rachel! I can drive down from Knoxville - only about 4 hours. Will you be covering the KVA billing disputes we've been seeing with GP lately? I've got three clients getting hammered on their power factor charges and would love to brainstorm solutions. Can bring copies of the rate schedules if helpful.
Count me in! Charlotte's an easy drive to Atlanta. Derek from Duke Energy territory here - been following the Georgia Power threads closely. Their demand billing methodology has some similarities to Duke's Schedule LGS that might be worth comparing. I can present on a $180K refund case I just closed if time permits.
Wish I could make it but Pennsylvania's a bit far for a day trip. Will there be any webinar recording or materials shared afterward? We're seeing similar issues with PPL and would love to learn from your Georgia Power expertise. Maybe we can organize a Northeast meetup later this year?
Sylvia - absolutely! I'll record the main presentations and post materials in the private forum section. Terry, perfect - bring those rate schedules. Derek, would love to hear about that Duke Energy case. We had similar success challenging GP's ratchet calculations last year.
Flying down from Chicago if anyone wants to split ground transport from Hartsfield. ComEd territory here but these Southern utility billing practices are fascinating. The demand charge structures are so different from what we see with Commonwealth Edison up north.
Yuri - I can pick you up at the airport, Nashville to Atlanta flight gets in around the same time. Rachel, final headcount is looking like 18 people. Should we book a larger conference room? Also, any chance we can get someone from Georgia Power to attend as a guest speaker?
Great turnout everyone! Ed, I'll upgrade to the larger room. Unfortunately GP declined to send a rep but we have plenty of expertise in the group. See you all Thursday - bring business cards and prepare for some serious shop talk!
