AAUBA Northeast Regional Meetup - Burlington VT Sept 15

Hey everyone! We're organizing a Northeast regional meetup here in Burlington on September 15th. Planning to meet at the Hampton Inn conference room from 10 AM to 4 PM. I've got about 6 confirmed so far including folks from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. We'll cover recent changes in ISO New England tariffs and some war stories from the field. Coffee and lunch provided - just need a $25 contribution to cover costs. Anyone else interested in joining us?
Count me in Fiona! Hartford is only about 3 hours drive for me. Been dealing with some crazy Eversource billing issues lately that would be perfect to discuss. Can you send me the hotel details? I'll book a room for Friday night so I can drive up Saturday morning fresh.
Vince, I'll PM you the details. For everyone else, it's the Hampton Inn & Suites Burlington. I've reserved the Champlain Conference Room on the second floor. They have free parking and it's right off I-89. We should have a good mix of utility territories represented - Green Mountain Power, Eversource, National Grid, and Unitil all have issues worth discussing.
Wish I could make it but Indianapolis is a bit far for a one-day event. Any chance you'll be doing a Midwest version? We've got some Duke Energy folks here who would love to connect with other auditors. Maybe something in Chicago or St. Louis next year?
Dale, that's actually a great idea. Let me talk to some of the other regional coordinators about setting up a Midwest meetup for spring 2019. Chicago would be perfect - central location and lots of flight options. I'll put you down as interested and we can start planning after this Burlington event.
Fiona, I might be able to drive up from Harrisburg if the timing works. What's the agenda looking like? I've got some interesting PPL cases involving demand response credits that might be worth sharing. Also, any plans for dinner Saturday night? Would be nice to continue the conversations over a meal.
Sylvia, absolutely! Tentative agenda: 10-11 AM introductions and recent case reviews, 11-12 PM ISO New England update, 12-1 PM lunch break, 1-3 PM roundtable discussions, 3-4 PM next steps and networking. For dinner, there's a great farm-to-table place called Hen of the Wood downtown. I can make reservations for whoever's interested.
Great turnout at the Burlington meetup! Thanks again Fiona for organizing. The ISO New England presentation was incredibly valuable, and those PPL cases Sylvia shared were eye-opening. Already implementing some of the demand response strategies we discussed. Looking forward to the Midwest meetup Dale mentioned!
