Great news - Nashville will be hosting several AAUBA sessions during the September conference! I've arranged meeting space at the Omni Nashville for three breakout sessions. TVA billing specialists will be presenting on the new industrial rate structure changes. We'll also have a session on dealing with distributed generation billing errors. Local members should definitely attend since we're seeing major issues with Nashville Electric Service lately.
Dale, this is perfect timing! I've been fighting NES on a $85,000 overcharge related to their new net metering billing system. They're not properly crediting excess generation during peak hours. Would love to discuss this during the conference. Are you planning a specific session on net metering issues?
Coming from Oregon - very interested in the TVA session. We're seeing similar issues with BPA out here, especially around the new efficiency incentive billing. Can you share the agenda details? Want to make sure I don't miss anything relevant to municipal utility relationships.
Driving over from Oklahoma City. OG&E has been implementing some of these same TVA-style rate structures and we're finding billing errors all over the place. Found a $156,000 error last month on a manufacturing account where they misapplied the new demand charge calculation. This conference session is exactly what I need.
Paula, absolutely - we'll have a full net metering discussion. Your NES case sounds exactly like what we're seeing across Tennessee. Susan, bring your OG&E documentation! The billing error patterns are almost identical to what TVA affiliates are doing. I'll post the detailed agenda by Friday.
Making the trip down from North Dakota. MDU has been copying these TVA billing practices and I've got three major cases brewing. One involves a $78,000 demand charge error on an agricultural processing facility. Looking forward to the networking as much as the formal sessions.
Session schedule posted! Friday 2 PM - TVA Rate Structure Changes, Saturday 10 AM - Net Metering Billing Errors, Saturday 2 PM - Municipal Utility Relationships. All sessions at Omni Nashville, Cumberland Room. Bring your toughest cases for the roundtable discussions!
Perfect timing Dale. Just closed another NES case - this time $42,000 in overcharges due to incorrect time-of-use billing for solar customers. I'll have all the documentation to share during Saturday's session. This is becoming a major pattern across Tennessee utilities.
Confirmed attendance for all three sessions. Just discovered that Eugene Water & Electric has been making similar errors on their new distributed energy tariff. Found a $34,000 billing error where they weren't properly netting monthly usage. Will bring the case files to compare with your Tennessee examples.
Flight confirmed! Bringing documentation on five OG&E cases totaling over $300,000 in billing errors. All related to their new industrial demand charge structure that mirrors TVA's approach. This conference is going to save me months of research.
Just wrapped up the Nashville sessions - incredible value! The TVA billing error patterns are definitely spreading nationwide. Exchanged contact info with everyone and we're planning quarterly regional calls to track these issues. Dale, thanks for organizing such a productive conference!
