Hey everyone, I'm thinking about organizing a casual meetup for AAUBA members in the Cleveland/Akron area. Maybe grab dinner and talk shop about some of the crazy stuff we've been seeing with FirstEnergy lately. Anyone interested in getting together sometime in March? I know there are at least a few of us in Ohio based on past forum discussions. Let me know if you'd be up for it and what works for your schedule.
Cleveland Area Meetup - March 2012?
Frank, I'd definitely be interested! I'm in Tulsa so it's a bit of a drive, but I've got some business in Columbus that month anyway. Would love to compare notes on what we're seeing with utility billing issues. I just caught a $47,000 error on an industrial client's account with OG&E last week - demand charge calculation was completely wrong for 18 months. These meetups are always valuable for sharing war stories and techniques.
Count me in! I can drive up from St. Louis - about 5 hours but worth it to network with fellow auditors. Ameren Missouri has been giving me headaches with their new time-of-use rates and I'd love to get some input from others who deal with similar issues. How about Saturday March 10th? That gives everyone time to plan and book travel if needed.
March 10th works perfect for me. Let's plan on meeting at 6 PM at the Granite City Food & Brewery on Rockside Road in Independence. Easy to find right off I-77 and good food. I'll make a reservation for 4-5 people in case anyone else wants to join last minute. Looking forward to it!
