Small client in Little Rock has an Entergy Arkansas bill with a new line item called "System Benefit Charge" for $1.85. Can't find any mention of this in recent PSC filings or the tariff. Anyone else seeing this in Arkansas? Trying to figure out if it's legitimate or if I should file a complaint. Amount is small but principle matters.

Entergy Arkansas - weird line item appeared last month
Helen, haven't seen that specific charge here in Alabama but Entergy likes to test new fees in one state before rolling them out everywhere. I'd definitely call the Arkansas PSC to see if they have any record of approving it. Sometimes utilities implement charges based on "pending" applications and hope nobody notices until approval comes through.
Good point Brenda. I'll call PSC tomorrow and see what they know. The charge showed up without any advance notice which seems improper regardless of whether it's approved or not. At minimum they should have provided some explanation of what the charge covers.
