Anyone else having issues with Entergy Louisiana's primary service policies? We've been trying to get 25kV service for our New Orleans facility for eight months. First they said we needed special switching equipment, then they wanted us to upgrade their nearby substation. Now they're claiming our load profile doesn't qualify for Schedule LGS-1. This is ridiculous.

Juan - that sounds like typical utility runaround. In Texas, ERCOT rules are clearer about customer rights for primary service. Have you tried escalating to the Louisiana PSC? Sometimes regulatory pressure helps move things along when utilities are being unreasonable about legitimate service requests.
Juan - I had similar problems with MLGW a few years ago. They kept changing the requirements and adding costs. Finally had to get our attorney involved and file a complaint with the Tennessee PUC. Sometimes you have to play hardball with these utilities when they're not acting in good faith.
