TEP Rate Schedule R-Solar Grandfathering Question

Quick question for anyone familiar with Tucson Electric Power. I have a client who installed solar in 2013 under the old R-Solar rate schedule with full retail net metering. TEP is now claiming they need to move to the new R-Solar rate with demand charges. Isn't there supposed to be grandfathering protection for existing solar customers? The original interconnection agreement doesn't specify a rate change timeline.
Linda, Arizona's net metering rules do include grandfathering, but it's tied to the original interconnection date. If your client interconnected in 2013, they should be protected under the 20-year grandfathering provision. TEP is probably hoping they don't know their rights. I'd demand they show you the specific tariff provision that requires the rate change.
Thanks Sarah. Found the ACC decision - customers interconnected before December 2014 are indeed grandfathered for 20 years. TEP backed down immediately when I cited Decision No. 74202. Sometimes you just need to show them you know the rules.
