Database for tracking client billing issues

Does anyone have recommendations for database software to track billing issues across multiple clients? Currently using Excel but it's getting unwieldy with 50+ active accounts. Need something that can track issue status, dollar amounts, utility contact info, and resolution dates. Preferably not too expensive for a one-person shop.
Phil, I use Access for this same purpose. It's included with most Office packages so probably won't cost extra. Set up tables for clients, issues, utilities, and contacts. Works great for generating reports and tracking follow-ups. Happy to share my template if you're interested. Handles everything from KUB to TVA accounts without issues.
Access is solid but consider looking at FileMaker Pro if you need something more user-friendly. Bit more expensive but much easier to customize forms and reports. I track about 80 LG&E and KU accounts with it and love the interface. The mobile app is handy for site visits too.
