Interval data management nightmares

Anyone else struggling with Duke Energy's interval data format changes? They switched their CSV export structure last month and it's breaking all my analysis templates. The timestamp format changed and they moved some columns around. Spent half a day trying to figure out why my demand calculations were off before I realized what happened. This kind of unannounced change is really frustrating when you're managing multiple client portfolios.
Cecilia, I haven't seen that issue yet since I'm mostly working with TVA accounts, but I feel your pain. Utilities seem to change their data formats without any heads up to auditors. Have you tried reaching out to Duke's commercial services department? Sometimes they'll give you a heads up on upcoming changes if you're working with large accounts regularly.
This is why I always build flexibility into my Excel templates for interval data imports. Had similar issues with PPL here in Pennsylvania when they updated their customer portal. Now I use data validation and error checking to catch format changes before they mess up my calculations. Takes extra time upfront but saves headaches later.
Sylvia's approach is smart. I learned the hard way with Entergy Arkansas when they changed their interval data export without notice. Corrupted three months of analysis before I caught the issue. Now I always do spot checks on the first few rows when importing new data files. These utilities need to give us better notice when they're making system changes that affect data exports.
