Remote work setup - managing distributed team?
Carl, we've been fully remote since 2020 and it works well for Virginia utility audits. Key is over-communicating and having rock-solid documentation. Use Slack for daily check-ins, Zoom for weekly team meetings, and everything important goes in writing. Can't rely on hallway conversations anymore.
Screen sharing tools are essential too. When training someone on Entergy Louisiana rate schedules, being able to walk through calculations together in real-time makes all the difference. We use TeamViewer but there are lots of good options. The personal connection matters even when remote.
