Software recommendations for managing multiple audits?

We've grown to handling 40+ active audits at any given time here in Fargo with Xcel Energy territory. Excel is getting unwieldy and I'm losing track of deadlines and status updates. What software are you all using for project management? Need something that can track savings found, client communications, and billing cycles.
Anita, I've been using Monday.com for the last year managing Duke Energy accounts in Cincinnati. Great for tracking audit stages, assigning tasks to my two assistants, and client communication logs. Costs about $80/month but saves me hours every week. The client portal feature is clutch.
We went with Asana here in Eugene for Pacific Power accounts. Free version handles up to 15 team members which worked when I was smaller. Now paying for premium but the custom fields let me track savings amounts, utility contacts, and rate schedule changes. Works great for Oregon's complex tariff structures.
Built a custom solution using Airtable for our Idaho Power territory work. More flexibility than generic project management tools. Can create custom views for each team member, track recovery percentages, and integrate with our accounting software. Takes some setup time but worth it.
Whatever you choose, make sure it integrates with your invoicing system. We use QuickBooks Online with a Monday.com connection here in Harrisburg. Met-Ed and PPL accounts generate enough paperwork that automation is essential. Reduced our admin time by 30%.
TEP territory in Tucson keeps me busy enough that I need good systems. Started with Trello but outgrew it fast. Now using ClickUp - has everything I need including time tracking, custom fields for savings amounts, and client portals. The learning curve is worth it for larger operations.
