Just got my CUBA renewal notice and it looks like they've added more ethics training requirements. Used to be 2 hours every 3 years, now it's showing 4 hours. Anyone else seeing this? My certification expires in January and want to make sure I'm compliant.

CUBA certification renewal - ethics course requirements changed?
Yeah they announced it at the conference. Effective 2017 renewals it's 4 hours of ethics training per cycle. They're really cracking down after some high-profile cases of auditor misconduct. The online modules are actually pretty good though.
Makes sense given some of the shenanigans I've seen in the Alabama market. Had one auditor try to poach my client by claiming I missed obvious errors that didn't actually exist. More ethics training might help weed out the bad actors.
TEP has been asking for CUBA certification numbers on all audit submissions now. The additional ethics requirements should help maintain our credibility with the utilities. Worth the extra time investment in my opinion.
Just finished the new ethics modules last week. They cover conflict of interest scenarios, proper documentation standards, and client relationship boundaries. Actually learned a few things I hadn't considered before. PG&E is starting to require the updated certification for their preferred auditor program.
