EPB Chattanooga double-billed 5 days - anyone else seeing this?

Small commercial client here in Chattanooga got charged for August 26-30 on both their July and August EPB bills. It's only about $180 in extra charges but the principle matters. Customer service said it's a 'system adjustment' but that doesn't make sense. Has anyone else seen billing period overlap issues with EPB recently?
Vernon, I haven't seen this specific issue with EPB but it sounds like a meter reading schedule problem. Even though $180 isn't huge, double-billing is never acceptable regardless of the amount. I'd escalate beyond customer service if they're calling it a system adjustment. That's utility speak for 'we messed up but don't want to admit it.'
Vernon, Terry's absolutely right. No utility should be double-billing any period, regardless of system issues or adjustments. EPB generally has pretty good customer service, so I'd try escalating to a supervisor. If that doesn't work, file a complaint with the Tennessee Regulatory Authority. Even small overcharges like this need to be corrected to prevent them from becoming systematic problems.
