NPPD Rate Schedule C-2 TOU Question

Quick question for anyone familiar with Nebraska Public Power District tariffs. Looking at their Rate Schedule C-2 for a client here in Lincoln and the TOU periods seem to overlap during the summer months. Peak is listed as 1:00-8:00 PM and mid-peak as 7:00-10:00 PM weekdays June through September. That creates an hour of overlap from 7-8 PM. Is this intentional or am I misreading the tariff? Client is getting charged both peak and mid-peak rates during that overlap hour which seems wrong.
Karl, that definitely sounds like a tariff drafting error. TOU periods should never overlap - it creates exactly the billing confusion you're seeing. Here in Colorado, Xcel had a similar issue a few years back where their summer and winter TOU schedules had conflicting language. The PUC made them clarify and issue refunds for the overlap period. I'd contact NPPD directly and ask for clarification on how that hour should be billed. Document everything in case you need to file a complaint later.
Thanks Carl. I reached out to NPPD and you're right - it was a tariff error that's been on the books for almost two years. They're supposed to bill 7-8 PM as peak during summer months, not both peak and mid-peak. The customer service rep said they'll issue a credit for the double-billing going back 12 months. Not a huge amount - about $340 - but still money that shouldn't have been charged. Appreciate the guidance on this one.
