Idaho Power recently updated their customer portal and now the interval data exports are in a completely different format. Used to be clean CSV files with timestamps, kW readings, and rate periods clearly labeled. Now it's some weird XML-like format that doesn't import cleanly into Excel. Has anyone else in Idaho noticed this change? My analysis templates are completely broken and I've got three audits waiting on interval data processing.
Idaho Power interval data export format changed - anyone else having issues?
Glenda, I saw the same thing last week with a Boise client. The new format is definitely a pain but I found you can still get the old CSV format if you use the "legacy export" option in the dropdown menu. It's not obvious - you have to click on "Advanced Export Options" first. Idaho Power probably plans to phase out the CSV eventually but for now the old format is still available. Hope this helps until we figure out how to work with their new system.
Warren, you're a lifesaver! Found the legacy export option and got my data in the old format. Definitely not intuitive - seems like Idaho Power is making changes without considering how it affects their business customers who rely on this data for analysis. I'll stick with the legacy format for now but we should probably start preparing for when they eventually discontinue it. Thanks again for the quick solution!
