Got a call from a large Methodist church about their electric bill. They're definitely tax-exempt but I'm not sure if that translates to utility bill exemptions. Anyone worked with religious organizations before? What should I be looking for?

Church audit challenges - tax exempt status
Tax exempt status doesn't usually affect electric rates, but some utilities have special nonprofit rates. More importantly, check if they're running any commercial activities - daycare, rental halls, coffee shop. Those might need separate metering or rate classifications.
That's a great point Cindy. They do rent their fellowship hall for weddings and have a weekday preschool program. Might be getting charged commercial rates when they should be on a blended rate.
