Working with a major fast-food franchise (150+ locations) and running into LOA complications. Some locations are corporate-owned, others are franchisee-owned. Corporate can't sign LOAs for franchise locations, but getting individual franchisees to sign is like herding cats. Any tricks for streamlining this process?
Franchise operations - who signs the LOAs?
Oscar, you need the franchise development manager on your side. They can usually push the franchisees to cooperate, especially if they frame it as a cost-savings initiative. I've also had luck with group meetings where corporate explains the program and answers questions.
Dolores is right about the group approach. I did a similar franchise audit and we held regional meetings with franchisees. Corporate presented the program, I explained the process, and we got 85% sign-up rate. Much better than individual outreach.
