Just landed a regional bank with 412 branches. Budget allows for auditing about 80 locations in year one. How do you prioritize which sites to hit first? Looking at spend levels, but wondering if there are other factors I should consider.

Prioritizing 400+ locations for a bank chain - where to start?
Congrats on the big win Pete! I always start with highest kWh usage and longest billing history. Also look for locations that haven't been audited recently - low-hanging fruit tends to be there. Geographic clustering helps with travel costs too.
Don't forget to check if they've done any recent renovations or equipment changes. Those sites often have rate optimization opportunities. Also, branches in expensive real estate markets might have demand charges worth investigating.
Great suggestions from Norm and Anita. I'd add - ask the client if they have any problem locations where bills seem unusually high. Sometimes the property managers know which sites need attention. And definitely cluster geographically - you'll save weeks of travel time.
Perfect, thanks everyone. Going to start with top 20 by usage, then cluster the next 60 geographically in their three main markets. Norm's point about recent audits is gold - some of these branches go back 15+ years with no review.
