Excel is starting to buckle under the weight of this hotel chain audit. 153 properties, multiple findings per site, different utility contacts, various refund statuses. Need something more robust but not enterprise-level expensive. What's everyone using for portfolio tracking?
Database recommendations for tracking 150+ site findings
I moved to Access for anything over 100 sites. Takes a bit of setup but much better for relational data. Can track sites, utilities, findings, refunds, and contacts all linked together. Plus you can generate decent reports for the client CFO.
FileMaker Pro is another option - more user-friendly than Access in my opinion. Built a template that handles multi-site audits with custom reporting. Costs about $300 but worth it if you do a lot of portfolio work.
