Looking for software recommendations to streamline portfolio audits. Currently using Excel for everything but it's not cutting it for 200+ location clients. Need something that can import bills from multiple utilities, flag anomalies automatically, and generate executive summary reports. What's everyone using for large-scale billing analysis?
Software recommendations for portfolio billing analysis
Scott, we switched to EnergyCAP a couple years ago and it's been solid for portfolio work. Handles multiple utility formats, has good anomaly detection, and the reporting is pretty robust. Not cheap but pays for itself if you're doing regular large audits.
I've had good luck with UtilityBill Manager for mid-size portfolios (50-300 locations). Easier learning curve than EnergyCAP and about half the cost. The automated flagging isn't as sophisticated but it catches the obvious stuff like billing spikes or wrong rate codes.
Thanks Ruben and Chester. I'll check out both options. The automated anomaly detection is really what I need - spending too much time manually reviewing bills that turn out to be fine. Need to focus my time on the actual problem accounts.
