Working with an ice cream shop that's closed November through February. Their electric bill goes from $2,800/month in summer to $180/month in winter (just security lighting). Getting killed by demand charges during peak season. Any options for seasonal businesses?
Seasonal ice cream shop - demand charges in summer only
Check if your utility offers seasonal rate options or if they can disconnect/reconnect seasonally to reset demand charges. Some utilities have specific tariffs for seasonal businesses. Also worth looking at load management for the freezer equipment.
