What's everyone's minimum bill size for small commercial? I've been using $1,500/month but getting inquiries from smaller accounts. Had a daycare call with $900/month bills - feels too small but hate to turn down business.

Minimum viable bill size?
Carla, I stick to $1,800 minimum unless it's a really obvious error case. The time investment just doesn't pay off below that threshold most of the time. Though I did take on a $1,200/month restaurant once that was on a residential rate - easy $200/month savings there.
Agreed with Diane. Below $1,500 you're looking at maybe $50-150 in monthly savings if you find something. After your fees, it's barely worth their time let alone yours.
The key is being selective below your normal threshold. If you see obvious red flags (residential rate, wrong tariff class), it might be worth a quick look. But don't spend weeks on a comprehensive audit for a $900/month account.
