Just wanted to share a success story. Found a $4,800 power factor penalty error with FPL, filed the claim with all documentation, and they cut a check in 3 weeks. Sometimes it actually works smoothly!

Quick win - FPL paid in 3 weeks
FPL is generally pretty good if you have your ducks in a row. They don't drag their feet like some of the other utilities. Congrats on the quick turnaround!
Nice work! Power factor cases are usually straightforward once you show them the meter data doesn't support the penalties. What was the timeframe of the error?
14 months of incorrect penalties. Customer had installed PF correction equipment but FPL never updated their records. Easy money once I showed them the discrepancy.
