Georgia Power refuses to honor 3-year billing adjustment

I've got a Schedule GS-2 account that was misclassified for 38 months, overpaying by about $800/month. Georgia Power initially agreed to the adjustment but now claims they can only go back 12 months due to "company policy." Anyone dealt with this before? The tariff clearly allows 3 years for billing corrections.
File with the Georgia PSC immediately. Don't waste more time with customer service - their "policy" doesn't override state regulations. I've fought this exact issue with them twice and won both times. You'll need the LOA, 4 years of billing history, and copies of the relevant tariff sections.
Derek's right - Georgia Power pulls this stunt all the time. The PSC complaint process takes about 90 days but they'll side with you if you have proper documentation. Make sure to calculate interest on the overpayments too, they hate when you do that but it's legitimate.
Thanks both of you. Filing the PSC complaint today. I've got everything documented going back 4 years so hopefully this moves quickly. Will report back on the outcome.
Good call on filing with the PSC. Georgia Power has gotten much better about honoring legitimate retroactive adjustments after a few high-profile PSC rulings went against them. Document everything and keep your client informed about the timeline - PSC complaints can feel slow but they're effective.
