Got a potential $6K recovery but the utility is being difficult. Probably 40+ hours to fight this vs moving on to easier clients. How do you all decide when to walk away?

Quick wins vs long fights - where do you draw the line?
Depends on your fee structure and client relationship. $6K might be worth it if you're on contingency, but hourly clients usually don't want to pay more in fees than they'll recover.
I use a simple rule - if the dispute will take more than 20 hours, the recovery needs to be at least $10K to make it worthwhile. Otherwise you're not serving the client well.
Warren, that's a good guideline. This one definitely fails that test. Time to move on to greener pastures.
