Found a $280/month demand charge error going back 48 months on a manufacturing client. Ameren is saying they'll only go back 2 years despite Missouri having a 4-year statute. Anyone dealt with this before?

Ameren Missouri pushback on 4-year old overcharge
Had same issue with them in 2017. You need to cite Missouri Revised Statute 386.370 which allows 4 years for utility billing disputes. They tried the 2-year thing with me too but backed down once I mentioned filing with the PSC.
Dan's right - Ameren plays that game hoping you don't know the law. I've recovered 3+ years multiple times. Get ready to escalate to their regulatory affairs department if customer service won't budge.
Perfect, thanks both. Sending them the statute citation today. This could be $13,440 vs $6,720 so definitely worth fighting for!
