Miracle of miracles - filed a billing dispute with Duke Energy in North Carolina and they actually issued a $6,800 refund check within 30 days. No PUC complaint needed. Has Duke gotten better lately or did I just get lucky?

You got lucky Gloria! I'm still waiting 6 months for Duke to process a simple rate schedule correction. Maybe it depends on which state you're in?
Duke Carolina has been better than Duke Florida in my experience. Florida takes forever for everything.
