YouTube Channel for Utility Auditing?

Random idea: would a YouTube channel about utility billing errors work as a marketing tool? I'm thinking short videos explaining common errors, how to read a commercial electric bill, that sort of thing. My generation lives on YouTube and I figure the content would help with SEO too.
I thought about this too but decided against it. Our target audience is facility managers and CFOs, not YouTubers. They're not searching YouTube for utility bill audit tips. They're searching Google or asking their professional network. I'd put that video production time into LinkedIn content instead - that's where the decision makers actually hang out.
Actually disagree with Mitchell. I posted a 5-minute video called How to Read Your Commercial Electric Bill on YouTube 2 years ago and it's gotten 12,000 views. I get about 1 inquiry per month from it. They're mostly small business owners, not big corporate accounts, but a couple have turned into decent clients. The SEO benefit is real - my video ranks on the first page of Google for several related searches.
Both perspectives have merit. YouTube won't replace direct outreach but it can be a nice supplement for organic visibility. The key is keep the videos short, specific, and genuinely educational. Think 3-5 minutes max. And Claude is right that the SEO cross-pollination with Google is a legitimate benefit.
Thanks for the input. I think I'll try a few videos and see what happens. Worst case I'll have content I can repurpose for LinkedIn and my website.
