Emergency situation here - client moved up their board meeting and wants our audit presentation by Thursday. Just finished analysis on their Duke Energy accounts, found $47K in overcharges over 18 months but now need to put together a compelling presentation fast. Any templates or shortcuts you can share?
Client wants presentation in 2 days - help!
Christine, focus on one powerful slide with the big number - $47K recovered, then break it down by category. Don't overcomplicate with too many details in a rush job. What types of errors did you find?
Albert - mostly demand billing errors and some rate schedule issues. They were on Schedule LGS when they should have been on Schedule OPT for two facilities. Also found transformer ownership discrepancies.
For board presentations I always use: Slide 1 - Executive summary with total $, Slide 2 - Methodology credibility, Slide 3 - Breakdown by error type, Slide 4 - Implementation plan, Slide 5 - Next steps. Keep it to 5 slides max for executives.
Presentation went great! Used Beth's 5-slide structure and Randy's before/after comparison. Board approved moving forward with filing refund claims immediately. Thanks for the quick help everyone - this group is invaluable.
Christine, with rate schedule errors you can usually show clear before/after examples. Duke's tariffs are pretty straightforward. Create one slide showing what they paid vs what they should have paid for a typical month - visual impact is huge for board members.
