Thinking about switching to digital signatures for my audit reports instead of printing and mailing everything. Anyone have experience with this? What service do you use and do clients accept them professionally?
Anyone using digital signatures for reports?
Kevin, I've been using DocuSign for about 6 months. Works great and clients seem fine with it. Faster turnaround and no postage costs. Initial setup was a bit of a learning curve but worth it.
Marcus, what's the cost like? I'm still pretty low volume - maybe 3-4 reports per month. Is it worth it for small operations?
Janice, might be cheaper to just scan and email for now at that volume. I only went digital because I was spending $200/month on overnight shipping for time-sensitive reports.
Christine makes a good point about volume. I still print final reports but email PDF copies immediately for review. Best of both worlds - they get quick access but also have hard copies for files.
Margaret, that's what I do too. Email the PDF same day, mail hard copy for their permanent records. Clients appreciate getting results quickly even if the formal package comes later.
