Audit report templates and formatting

Looking to standardize my audit reports. What sections do others typically include? Currently doing: Executive Summary, Methodology, Findings, Recommendations, Supporting Documentation. Wondering if I'm missing anything important or if there's a better structure that utilities respond to more favorably.
Joan - that's pretty comprehensive. I also include a "Background" section with account details, rate schedules, and audit period. Helps establish context. Also recommend having a separate "Calculation Details" appendix so the main report stays readable but all the math is documented for utility review.
For formatting, I use tables extensively to show before/after billing calculations. Visual comparison makes errors more obvious to utility reviewers. Also include page numbers and date stamps - sounds basic but helps when utilities reference specific sections in their responses.
One thing I learned - always include your contact info and preferred method of follow-up communication. Some utilities still prefer phone calls, others want everything in writing. Setting expectations upfront saves time later. Also consider including a "next steps" section outlining the dispute process if they don't accept your findings.
