AMI Programming Error - Multiplier Shows 1.0 Should Be 40

Hi everyone, Leah S. in Orlando. Pretty new to this but hoping someone can help. We have a small office building on OUC Rate Schedule GS-1 and the bills jumped from around $800/month to $32,000 last month after they installed new AMI meter. Went to look at the meter and it shows multiplier of 1.0 but the CTs are clearly marked 4000:5 which should be a 40 multiplier right? Is this something I can get them to fix easily?
Leah, Rosemary H. from Tallahassee. Yes, 4000:5 CTs with a 1.0 multiplier is definitely wrong. The multiplier should be 40 (4000 divided by 5). This is a simple programming error on the AMI system. Call OUC immediately and reference the meter number and CT nameplate. They should be able to fix this remotely within 24-48 hours. Make sure you get a case number and ask for written confirmation of the correction.
Thanks Rosemary! Called OUC and they confirmed the programming error. Said it would be corrected within 48 hours and they'll adjust the last bill. Seems like it was pretty straightforward once I knew what to ask for.
