VT Ratio Error on Primary Metered Account

Roy H. in Birmingham AL. Large manufacturing plant on primary metering discovered VT ratio programmed at 120:1 instead of 240:1 after annual meter test. Alabama Power Rate Schedule LPL shows we've been billed double for 14 months. Consumption around $85K monthly so this is huge adjustment. Anyone dealt with primary metering VT errors? How cooperative are utilities usually on these large corrections?
Leon J. from Mobile AL. Had similar with Alabama Power few years back. VT ratio wrong for 8 months on primary industrial service. They were actually pretty good about it once engineering confirmed the error. Took about 60 days to process but got full adjustment. Make sure you have the meter test results documented properly.
Helen K. in Little Rock. Entergy Arkansas had VT multiplier wrong on our co-gen facility. Primary metering is complex enough that utilities usually don't fight the corrections when there's clear documentation of the error. Your adjustment is big enough they'll probably want their own engineering review before processing.
Roy H. again. Alabama Power engineering confirmed the VT ratio error today. Getting full 14-month adjustment worth about $590K total. They said happens occasionally during primary meter installations when VT specifications get entered incorrectly. Processing should take 6-8 weeks for the credit. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.
