Ellen P. from New Haven. Eversource replaced mechanical meter with AMI digital last month. Bills jumped from 2800 kWh to 8400 kWh overnight on Rate Schedule G-2. Looks like they programmed 3x multiplier instead of 1x for this smaller commercial account. Anyone know the right contact at Eversource for meter programming issues?
AMI Programming Error After Meter Changeout
Laura H. in Providence. Had same issue with National Grid. Call the commercial services line and ask for "meter data management" department. Don't go through regular customer service - they can't see the programming parameters. Make sure to request the full meter configuration printout.
Ellen P. thanks Laura. Called MDM department and they found the error immediately. Tech said happens frequently during AMI conversions when CTs are removed but multiplier stays in system. Getting 2-month correction processed now.
Ivan T. from Bristol TN. Seen this a dozen times with TVA meter upgrades. Always check first bill after any meter work for usage spikes. AMI systems are great but programming errors are common during transition period.
