Dead phase causing weird demand readings

Pamela W. in Savannah - we've got a three-phase service where one leg went dead about two weeks ago. Georgia Power fixed the primary fuse yesterday but now our demand billing looks completely wrong. The meter was only reading two phases during the outage but still applying the full multiplier. Is this going to mess up our Schedule TOU-GSD billing?
Janice L. here in Augusta - had the exact same thing happen. With a dead phase, the meter reads low on energy but the remaining phases carry higher current, which can actually increase demand readings. Georgia Power should adjust both energy and demand for the period when you were on two phases instead of three.
Thanks Janice L. - I'll call them tomorrow about an adjustment. The energy reading definitely looks low but you're right about the demand being weird. Our motors were probably drawing more current on the good phases trying to compensate.
