Helen K. from Little Rock working with a small church that's been classified as commercial Schedule GS by Entergy Arkansas. Monthly usage runs 3,200-4,800 kWh with 18 kW peak demand. I've heard some utilities offer special religious institution rates but can't find anything in Entergy's tariff book. Anyone know if these rates exist or if there's a better residential classification option?

Small church wrongly classified as commercial - religious rate available?
Estelle M. here from Louisiana - Entergy Louisiana has Schedule RS-R for religious organizations but I'm not sure about Arkansas. The qualification requirements are pretty specific about non-profit status and primary use for worship services. You might also check if they qualify for the low-income assistance programs.
Thanks Estelle. I'll dig deeper into the Arkansas tariffs. The church is definitely 501c3 non-profit and usage is solely for worship and community meetings. At current commercial rates they're paying about $680/month but residential would save them around $140 monthly.
