Derek H. in Atlanta. Got a poultry operation that should qualify for Georgia Power's Schedule AG-1 agricultural rate but they're claiming it doesn't meet the criteria. The operation is clearly agricultural - 40,000 chickens, automated feeding, climate control, the works. They're keeping them on Schedule GS-2 which is costing about $800/month extra. Anyone know the specific qualifications GP uses for agricultural classification?

For poultry, the climate control and automated systems should definitely qualify. Check if Georgia Power requires a certain percentage of revenue from agricultural sales versus processing.
