Property managers as referral source?
Ruth, Oscar F. from Juneau here. Most property managers I work with just appreciate looking good to their building owners when they find savings. I don't pay referral fees but I do give them detailed reports they can present as their initiative. It's about making them the hero.
Mark S. from Raleigh chiming in. I've found success offering property management companies a small finder's fee - usually 5% of first year savings. They manage multiple properties so one good relationship can generate ongoing business. Just make sure any fee arrangement is disclosed to the end client.
